    Description :

“Lorenzo de’ Medici moved to the Medici Palace with the rest of the family around 1456, and by the 1490s, the building was no longer ‘modern’ – its plan and most of its decoration dated from the earlier decades. This is not to say that aspects of the palace did not change, but together with his newly installed antique sculpture, Lorenzo lived among the paintings by [Benozzo] Gozzoli and [Paolo] Uccello. Indeed, most Florentines must have inhabitated environments with many elements that were decades old.”
