“A former abbey church and the most interesting in Blois, it was built in the 12th and 13th century and is a happy mixture of Romanesque and Gothic. The plain façade has twin towers with 18th century openwork spires. The crossing has an unusual circular lantern with rib vaulting supported on pendetives. There is a mixture of unusual historiated and foliate capitals.”
