#Starting with the mid 17th century here was a temporary linen church and later a wooden church of Keksgolmsky regiment. In 1811 the construction of the stone church of St Katherine began by the design of famous classicist architect A.A. Mikhailov, Junior, and was completed in 1823. In 1859-1862 a three-tier bell tower was erected, also in the Classicism style. Later, a refectory, a fence and a chapel were added (architect F.I. Nesterov). The church served as a parish cathedral for the Petersburg Exchange, each artel of brokers had its icon here. Having been closed down in 1936 it was returned to the Church in 1997.#
