    Description :

This church in Amsterdam West (Bos en Lommerplein 25) has got a nickname “Kolenkit” (the Coal-scuttle) from its characteristic tower.

M.F. Duintjer’s aim was to create cohesion between the various parts of the complex: vicarage, tower, community centre areas and church hall. The latter is lit by high, diagonally placed windows. Light plays an important part in the interior of the church.
