    "Many memories are attached to the old parish of Saint-Louis en l’Ile. One cannot forget the poet Quinault, elegant and clever, and who was buried in the church. In spite of the mocking remarks of Boileau towards him, one can still appreciate today the delicate lyricism, which animates his comedies and his operas that the author of l’Art Poétique described with a little pedantic scorn as salacious:

    '…Lieux communs de morale lubrique
    Que Lully réchauffa des feux de sa musique...'"
