    Description :

"The church Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais is dedicated to two martyr brothers persecuted in Milan under the reign of Nero. Historians often speak of a fine tree planted since remote times in front of the church’s portal and which was several times replaced through the centuries. People used to meet there after the mass. Sometimes justice was administered there and even revenues were perceived. The tree was cut down during the Revolution and used to build a gun carriage."
