    Description :

The sparkling white Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona MACBA is built in the unmistakable style of Richard Meier, and in the Raval it shines like a “UFO”.

The southern frontage serves as both entrance and showpiece of the Placa dels Angels. The monumentality of the massive white blocks is bound together by three collage-like elements: the screening formed in front of the entrance, the horizontally arranged facade of green glass, and the sculptural annex at the eastern end. Behind this broadly supported front, the access ramp space that connects the building both metaphorically and in reality is hidden.
