The monumental Federal Chancellery is part of the “ribbon of government buildings” and is closely associated with the Paul-Löbe- and Marie-Elisabet-Lüdes Houses as well as to the Reichstag Building.
The central block is 40 meters high and is flanked by five storey (22 meters) high administrative buildings. The northern and southern wings form two courts of honour in the west (to the Paul-Löbe House) and east (to the river Spree). To the west on the other side of the river follows the chancellors park.
