The real architectural treasure is the monastery directly linked to the church, with the square shaped corridors of pillars. There, in the generous ensemble of sculptures and decorations, Romanesque and Christianity join together in remarkable and romantic twists and patterns. The saints of the Old and New Testament appear in the capitals in the middle of all kinds of decorative patterns. There the Holy Martha is fighting with a tarasque, there the old Gamaliel is standing in the corner serious and rugged.
