    Description :

"Lyon now covers two or maybe even three ancient agglomerations: the colony of Lugdunum, centered on the Fourvière hill, the uicus of Condate situated on the southern slopes of the plateau of the Croix-Rousse and the Bellecourt area, and finally the uicus of Vaise, located in the north of the colony...During the last decade preceding our era, the colony of Lugdunum was equipped with a theatre, built in the south of the Fourvière hill and east of the plateau of Sarra, in the sector of the Minims. Notched into the side of the plateau, its cauea reached 108.50 m in diameter. She faced a scene of about 75 m long, behind which stood a wall a little over 30 m high."
