    Description :

Eusebi Güell had in mind a new model of English city garden, when he decided to create a residential space near the city, one that would attract the Catalan upper bourgeoisie. Gaudi created a project for the complex as an urbanization, which meant that the space had a perimeter wall. It was a seven-doored wall, sinuous in line, and done in bordered rubblework incrusted with ceramic fragments. This ornamentation typology is repeated in numerous elements. Opposite the entrance, a large stairway leads to the hypostyle room—with 86 classical columns—and to the Greek theater—an esplanade above this room and delimited by a continuing bench that repeats the wavy lines. The different parts of the stairway include little islets of organic elements.
