    Kuvaus :

This enormous, centrally-planned building with four towers, based on Roman baroque forms, was a church for both state and court, and the will of the Hohenzollerns was that it should be the principal Protestant church. Sculptural and relief decoration should be seen in this context: Christ and Evangelists, Old and New Covenant Saints, and the Reformers.

Under the dome is a church for ceremonial and preaching, south of this a church for baptism and weddings.

In the cathedral crypt are 90 sarcophagi, including some by Peter Vischer dating from 1530 and the state coffin for King Friedrich I after Andreas Schlüter.
